Day 2: Amazing Cave- Hanoi
Welcome to Hanoi! At 7:45 AM, you will be picked up from your hotel by our private bus and transferred to Halong Bay. After a relaxing drive through the paddy fields and countryside, we will arrive at the Paloma office in Halong city, where you will be transferred to your Paloma Cruise. Enjoy a refreshing welcome drink as we will set sail into the picturesque and mystical Halong Bay.
For lunch, a delicious Vietnamese set menu will be available on board, with massage services both after lunch and throughout the tour. Next we will head to Bai Tu Long Bay, passing the towns of Hon Gai and Cam Pha, Oan Lagoon, Monster Head and Teapot Islets and Vung Vieng fishing village. You will have the option to visit the Vung Vieng floating fishing village by bamboo sampan for an hour or kayak into the village before returning to your Paloma Cruise. Upon your return to the ship, feel free to relax, sunbathe, swim or have a massage. The boat will drop its anchor in a peaceful area surrounded by limestone islets near Hang Trong. Enjoy a great happy hour of buy two get one free (wine by the bottle excluded) during an on board sunset party.
After a Vietnamese cooking demonstration, a savoury dinner will be served on board. For the rest of the evening, join one of our many on board activities, including film entertainment, dancing in the dining room (please book in advance with your tour guide), board games and playing cards, and massage services. Passengers may also attempt squid fishing from the boat with our crew. We will spend our first night here.
Today, you will begin your early morning with some spiritual and relaxing Tai Chi on the sundeck. Complimentary tea and coffee will be served during a delicious breakfast as we continue to sail through Halong bay. Transfer to a small rowing boat to visit Sung Sot (Surprise) Cave. Walk up 100 steps to the cave entrance where you will be given a 45 minute tour of one of the largest caves in Halong Bay.
Upon your return to the boat, you will have 30 minutes to freshen up and finish packing. You may leave heavy luggage outside of the cabin and the staff will transfer it directly to the pier. Enjoy a set menu for lunch in the dining room and appreciate the majestic scenery before we arrive back at Hon Gai harbour. Here, a van will be waiting to transfer you back to Hanoi to continue your onward journey.
