Welcome to Siem Reap, home of the mysterious Angkor temples! Your journey will begin in the late morning, where you will be transferred from the FCC Hotel to the Tonle Sap Lake for your cruise. Settle into your cabin and prepare for a breathtaking 8 day adventure to Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon).Enjoy a welcome drink and delicious lunch as we set sail to the floating village of Chnok Tru. Chnok Tru is a seldom visited village where Vietnamese originated fishermen self-sufficiently live off of the land. We will cross the level by speedboat or ferry depending on the water level.Dinner will be served as we cruise towards Kampong Chhnang. Enjoy a spectacular evening on the sundeck as we admire the radiance of the stars.
After breakfast, we will continue our cruise to Kampong Chhnang, one of the largest fishing ports on the Tonle Sap River. Kampong Chhnang is also known for its market and pottery-making villages nearby which produce enough pottery to supply the entire country. After returning to the ship, we will continue on to Kampong Tralach to see its stunning pagoda and outstanding century-old mural paintings. You will also be able to enjoy stunning views of the rice paddy fields.This evening, enjoy a lovely dinner on board. Tonight we will begin our navigation towards Koh Chen.
Welcome to the island of Koh Chen, a superb little island full of craftsmen with traditions that have remained unchanged for centuries. After you explore the island, we will return to the ship and make our way towards Phnom Penh.Upon arrival in Phnom Penh, you will be given a city tour including visits to the Royal Palace, the Silver Pagoda, and the National Museum.Tonight, watch a fabulous Apsara Dance Show on board as you enjoy your dinner.
Today is your day to explore Phnom Penh, Cambodia’s bustling and industrious capital city. In the morning, you will be given a guided tour of the Genocide Museum and the Russian Market.During the afternoon you will have free time to explore the city on your own.Return to the ship in the evening, where you will be served dinner as we set sail towards the Vietnamese border.
In the early morning, we will take care of border-crossing formalities. Once that is finished, we will head towards Cao Lan, a city famous for its Vietnamese resistance. Cao Lan is full of beautiful swamps and has a well-known bird sanctuary.We will spend the night close to Cao Lan before heading to Sa Dec in the morning.
In the early morning, you will complete the rest of the journey to Vinh Long as you enjoy a lovely breakfast. Located in the middle of the delta between two arms of the mighty Mekong River, life in this city centers on water, consisting of houses that are hoisted up on stilts that are planted into banks of the river. Upon your arrival, you will take a local boat to visit a brick and pottery factory and the Binh Hoa Phuoc Islet Nursery of Fruit Trees. After lunch, we will continue your cruise to My Tho.Return to the ship and have a splendid dinner, followed by free time for the rest of the evening.
After breakfast, relax on deck and admire the scenery as we make our way to My Tho, a market town known for its many orchards, rice plantations and the most extensive cultivation of rice, coconuts, bananas, mangoes, longans, and citrus fruits of Vietnam. You will be transferred to the mainland by a local boat where you will then travel to Vinh Trang Pagoda by car. Enjoy a panoramic view of My Tho as you visit a tropical orchard, bee farm, and candy factory. In the evening, we will begin to sail down Cho Gao canal towards Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon).
In the early morning, we will depart for Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon). After enjoying your final breakfast on board, you will be dropped off at the pier to continue your onward journey.
