Today after breakfast, your highlights of your Phnom Penh tour starts with a visit to the beautiful grounds of the Royal Residence complex; which includes the fascinating National Museum, the Silver Pagoda and incredible the Royal Palace itself. Lunch will be held at a local restaurant, before a reflective afternoon touring the Killing Fields and Toul Sleng Genocide Museum. The evening is yours; perhaps a stroll down the recently remodeled waterfront.Overnight in Phnom Penh.
Boarding at the boat pier. Our tour departs sharply at 08:00. We will begin by making our way to Koh Chen, a wonderful silversmith village on a small island just north of Phnom Penh. Next, we will visit Cambodia's old capital, Oudong, the site of the royal stupas.You will then be given lunch on board before continuing on to Kampong Tralach to see its stunning pagoda and outstanding century-old mural paintings. You will also be able to enjoy a nice view of the rice paddies.To end our first day, you will return to the cruise for a welcome dinner.The rest of the evening is free for you to relax on board.
This morning, we will continue our cruise to Kampong Chhnang, one of the largest fishing ports on the Tonle Sap River. Kampong Chhnang is also known for its market and pottery-making villages nearby which produce enough pottery to supply the entire country.Enjoy your lunch on board while we continue to cruise toward Kompong Luong. Upon your arrival, you will take a small local boat to discover the incredible floating villages.We will then return to your cruise for farewell cocktails and dinner in the afternoon. Enjoy the last evening on board.
In the early morning, we will depart for Siem Reap, enjoying your last half day to relax on the deck as we make our way across the Tonle Sap Lake.After a final lunch on board, you will be dropped off at the pier，your friendly local guide will be waiting to greet you and take you to your hotel to check-in.The rest of the day is yours to relax, rest and if jet-lag permits, do a little exploring of the downtown area.
After breakfast at your hotel, your awe-inspiring Angkor tour begins. First you will visit Angkor Thom, the last capital of the once great and vast Khmer empire. You'll enter through the grand South Gate, so you can see the ancient bridge depicting the legend of the 'Churning of the Milk'. Through the entrance and its on to visit the iconic Bayon temple, with its many wise smiling faces, Baphoun, the impressive Elephants Terrace and the Terrace of the Leper King. Lunch will be held at local restaurant.
In the afternoon, enjoy a tour through the famous Ta Prohm temple, the so-called 'jungle temple', where beautiful fig trees are slowly reclaiming the temple site.This evening, you will enjoy a delicious welcome dinner, whilst watching a traditional Apsara Dance Performance at Angkor Village Resort.
After breakfast, you will start your tour by visiting the spectacular World-Heritage site, Angkor Wat. This incredible monument built in the 12th century, stands as a testament to the dedication and skill of the ancient Khmer people and is truly one of the wonders of the modern world. Lunch will be held at a local restaurant.In the afternoon, you'll explore the beautifully preserved 'Citadel of women' - Banteay Srei Temple. This temple is located a bit further out of the city, so on the way back you can stop at a typical Khmer village to have a little insight into what everyday life is like for most of local people.This evening is yours to explore the town and soak in the atmosphere.
In the morning, you will head out of town to learn about the unique ecosystem and biggest largest fresh water lake in Southeast Asia, the Tonle Sap Lake. Enjoy the breathtaking views and see the local fishermen and their families living their lives. Once you're back on dry land, you'll get the chance to take a stroll through the bustling Old Market and maybe pick up a souvenir or two.After the tour, you will be taken to the airport for your outgoing flight to Hanoi. Upon arrival, your friendly local guide will greet you at airport and then take you to your hotel to check-in. The rest of the day is yours to relax, settle in and, if jet lag permits, do a little exploring on your own.Overnight in Hanoi.
After breakfast, you will enjoy a morning touring around Hanoi city. Begin with a visit to The Ho Chi Minh Complex, which includes Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum, Stilt House, Presidential Palace and Museum. Then, its on to, the One Pillar Pagoda, this temple rises from the centre of one pillar and is said to be have been built in the shape of a lotus. Finish your day with a stroll around the Fine Arts Museum; showcasing pieces from a range of historical periods.
Your afternoon will be spent at the fascinating Ethnologic Museum, where you can learn a bit about the many different ethnic minorities in Vietnam. After this, you'll be taken to visit the ancient Hoan Kiem Lake; you can find out all about the very interesting mythology that surrounds it. The tour ends with a special Vietnamese treat – you will take a cyclo or rickshaw around the picturesque Old Quarter.You can relax until the evening, when you will be able to enjoy a cultural treat – a famous Water Puppet Show at the theatre. After the performance, you will be taken to the train station for your night train to Sapa, this mountain town is famous for it's fine, rugged scenery and it's cultural diversity.Overnight aboard the train to Sapa.
In the early morning, you will arrive at Lao Cai train station and be met by your guide, then you'll drive to your hotel. After checking in, you'll have the chance to have some breakfast and take a short rest.Once you feel rested and refreshed, you'll begin the tour of this fascinating area. The first stop will be a visit to a hill-tribe village and the beautiful paddy terraced fields. You can ask your guide about their rich and unique culture.After lunch, you will be able to go trekking in this amazing rural area and go and visit a small local market. You can spend the rest of the day hiking or exploring on your own.Overnight in Sapa.
In the morning, you'll get more of an opportunity to appreciate the stunning natural beauty of Sapa, by taking an trip to the Tafin Village of Dzao. In amongst the mountains, you will find the dramatic 'Silver' Waterfalls.After lunch in a local restaurant, you will be taken back to Lao Cai train station for your overnight train to Hanoi.Overnight aboard to the train to Hanoi.
