After breakfast at your hotel, your awe-inspiring Angkor half-day bicycle tour begins. First you will visit Angkor Thom, the last capital of the once great and vast Khmer empire. You'll enter through the grand South Gate, so you can see the ancient bridge depicting the legend of the 'Churning of the Milk'. Through the entrance and its on to visit the iconic Bayon temple, with its many wise smiling faces, Baphoun, the impressive Elephants Terrace and the Terrace of the Leper King. Lunch will be held at local restaurant.
In the afternoon, you will get the chance to join a cooking class in a local restaurant. During this class, you will learn how to prepare traditional (and particularly delicious) Khmer dishes under the guidance of our chef. You will also have a chance to go to the market, where your teacher will explain all about the different Cambodia vegetables, herbs, spices and other ingredients and teach you the art of Khmer Cuisine. After the lesson, you can sit down and enjoy the fruits of your labour!The evening is yours to explore the town.Overnight in Siem Reap.
After breakfast, you will start your day by taking a tuk-tuk to visit the spectacular World-Heritage site, Angkor Wat. This incredible monument built in the 12th century, stands as a testament to the dedication and skill of the ancient Khmer people and is truly one of the wonders of the modern world. Lunch will be held at a local restaurant.The rest of the day is yours to enjoy the town.Overnight in Siem Reap.
Our cruise will depart at 15:00. You will be transferred to the Phnom Krom boat pier in Siem Reap by your private guide. After your check-in and security briefing, we will depart for Kompong Pluk, a charming village near Siem Reap. Your cruise will drop its anchor here for night.Enjoy a welcome drink and dinner in the evening.
After enjoying a nice breakfast, enjoy the breathtaking views as we cruise toward Kompong Luong. Upon arrival, you will take a local boat to discover the amazing floating village.After lunch, we will continue our cruise to Kampong Chhnang, one of the largest fishing ports on the Tonle Sap River. Kampong Chhnang is also known for its market and pottery-making villages nearby which produce enough pottery to supply the entire country.Once you have finished your tour of Kampong Chhnang, you will return to the ship for dinner and the rest of the day is yours to relax.
You will begin your day with breakfast on board before continuing on to Kampong Tralach to see its stunning pagoda and outstanding century-old mural paintings. You will also be able to enjoy a nice view of the rice paddies.Enjoy a relaxing lunch on board as we make our way to Phnom Penh.After arriving in Phnom Penh, you will be given free time to explore the city before returning to the ship for dinner.
After breakfast you will explore Phnom Penh, beginning with a visit to the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum, which now serves as a testament to the crimes of the Khmer Rouge from 1975-1979.You will then return to the city for a lovely lunch before an extensive half-day sightseeing tour including stops at the Royal Palace and the National Museum.In the evening, we will return to your cruise for a traditional Apsara dance show while you enjoy your dinner on board.
Enjoy a breathtaking view during breakfast as your cruise sets sail to Koh Dek Chau Island. Upon your arrival, take a stroll through the lovely village and discover the ways of daily life in Cambodia.After lunchtime, we will make our way to Kaam Samnor. Your cruise will drop its anchor here overnight on the river between the border of Cambodia and Vietnam.Enjoy some free time before dinner.
In the early morning, you will enjoy a lovely breakfast as we arrive in Chau Doc, a remote border town full of many different cultures. The city is known for its vivid and vibrant colors with floating fish farms, colonial buildings, and many markets. Upon arrival, local boats will ferry you to visit the Cham village, a minority in Vietnam and Cambodia.
After enjoying your lunch on board, we will make our way to Sa Dec, where you will take a short panoramic tour of this peaceful city full of tree-lined streets, fading colonial villas and a myriad of orchards and flower markets. Next, you will take a bus to visit Vuong primary school before continuing on to visit the beautiful Kien An Cung Pagoda. Take a stroll around Sa Dec Market along the River bank, and then visit a nursery of flower and bonsai trees before returning to the boat for the evening.Upon returning to your ship, you will enjoy a nice dinner as your cruise continues towards Vinh Long.
In the early morning, you will complete the rest of the journey to Vinh Long as you enjoy a lovely breakfast. Located in the middle of the delta between two arms of the mighty Mekong River, life in this city centers on water, consisting of houses that are hoisted up on stilts that are planted into banks of the river. Upon your arrival, you will take a local boat to visit a brick and pottery factory and the Binh Hoa Phuoc Islet Nursery of Fruit Trees. Relax on deck and admire the scenery as we cruise through the marvelous canal of Cho Gao on our way to My Tho.
Upon arrival, your cruise will drop its anchor near Thoi Son Island, where you will be transferred to the mainland by a local boat where you will then travel to Vinh Trang Pagoda by car. Enjoy a panoramic view of My Tho on the drive as you head to Dong Tam Snake Farm and My Tho Market to discover the local gardens and rice fields.After lunch, you return to the pier and take a local boat to Thoi Son Island where you can explore the daily activities of the people as you enjoy some fresh local fruit.We will then continue to make our way to Saigon as you enjoy your farewell dinner.
After breakfast, we will make our way towards Saigon, upon your arrival, your local guide will meet you at the pier and pick you up to your hotel for check-in.The rest of the day is free at your leisure to explore the city on your own.
This morning, is your last chance to wander around the city and soak in the atmosphere. Finally, it'll be time for your guide take you to the airport for your flight on to your next destination. Vietnam is a unique cultural experience and hopefully, by the time you leave, you will have a new appreciation for this incredible country and it's people.
